RUSTY HEARTS

Rusty Hearts is a free-to-play hack n slash/MMO/co-op brawler developed by Stairway Games and published by Windysoft in Korea, Perfect World Entertainment in North America, Sega in Japan and Xunlei Games in China. There are 4  default characters to take on countless waves of undead, monsters, dark knights, and many other creatures of the night. The story revolves around 4 characters that are tasked to take on and destroy an evil, powerful vampire lord named Vlad. He has been sealed up in a castle. Yes, it does sound a lot like Castlevania, and you’ll get more vibes like this later on in the review.

There are four basic playable characters with their respective avatars, which retains the same combat style but of different gender.

Let’s not forget the PVP aspect to the game. That’s right, you can even play against other players in Rusty Hearts. There are a good number of modes to play including single player and co-op with your buddies against another team.

The most straightforward mode pits teams against each other in a no-holds-barred brawl. Points are tallied as each member of a team is defeated, but no one stays down for long and it's anyone's game until the timer hits zero.

Solo combat with a team-based twist, Tag Team mode pits your team against the opponent in a series of short, one on one matches. Defeat the entire team's roster to achieve victory but be careful, the order of opponents is random. Will you be the point man, hoping to get an early lead over your opponents, or the anchor, carrying the entire team's fate on your shoulders?

A great man once said, "War does not decide who is right, but who is left". Survival is the only thing that matters at the end of the day. This mode reflects the brutality of the world itself. Either in a team or by yourself, survive by any means necessary and be crowned the victor of this savage match.

 There are a ton of players out there to party up with and play against. The mixture of fast action game play and the customization aspects of an RPG make this game enjoyable for almost any genre of game player. You really have nothing to lose with this free-to-play game. I suggest it to everyone.
